PRIME Eco-X (Sustainable HDPE)

Prime Eco-x is a sustainably-grown High Density Polyethylene. It is produced from Sugar Cane and is chemically identical to the fossil-based alternative. 

Primex can extrude this material in sheet and roll stock; and due to developments in technology, both at Primex and at our suppliers, this material is now suitable for general thermoforming applications.

As such, Prime Eco-X is suitable for use in automotive, leisure, food, and medical markets.

 

As the material is chemically identical to fossil-based, the same talc or calcium modified grades are still available, which provide dimensional stability and helps for HDT critical applications.
