EDR World Cup Series completed
August and September have continued to be busy months for Liam, competing in the British Championship at Ae Forest Scotland, the final round of the UCI U21 World series at Loudenvielle in the French Pyrenees and Tweedlove 3 at Innerleithen Scotland.
Liam finished the British Championship event in 19th place overall in a very strong field of over 500 that included some of the top UK Downhill racers. Times were very tight with 20 seconds covering 10 places. The team then travelled to Loudenvielle in the French Pyrenees for the final round of the UCI World EDR Series. During practice the course was dry with warm temperatures but on race day the riders were greeted with heavy rain creating some difficult stages. Liam excelled in the “British” conditions to finish the difficult stage 2 in 4th position and end the day with his best overall result of 16th under 21 securing qualification points for the 2025 season in the main UCI Elite EDR racing category.
With little time to recover Liam travelled to Scotland for the final Tweedlove / British National Series event. Liam excelled in the prime conditions to secure 3rd Under 21 and P6 overall in a field of 550 competitors.
Liams final event of the year is a Downhill race at Danny Harts Descend Bikepark before travelling to New Zealand at the end of October for 6 months training and working.
Massive thanks for the support throughout the season from Primex European Division, The Dirtfund Project, Merida Bikes, Royal Racing, Silverback Xtreme, Smith Optics UK, 7Idp protection and Danny Harts Descend Bike park who all help make it happen.
